8 Ways You Can Help With Hurricane Harvey Relief

I know you’ve all heard and seen everything that is going on with Hurricane Harvey on the coast. It has probably been the most devastating natural disaster to ever happen to the Texas coast. It is truly heartbreaking to see all the images of all the flooding and destroyed homes and businesses. There is a HUGE need for food, water, diapers, money, places to stay for the ones who have lost their homes or currently have flooded homes, and volunteers to help in any way they can. I wanted to share with y’all a few ways you can help if you would like to. But you should know, these are not the only ways. There is so much more that you can do, but I am just sharing 6 of these ways with you! And remember, Houston is not the only affected area!

#1| Texas Monthly

#2| Magnolia Market – Waco

#3| Shop Somethin Girlie

#4| J.J. Watt for Houston, TX

#5| American Red Cross

#6| The Salvation Army

#7| Volunteer at the San Antonio Food Bank with Red Cross to put together hot meals, lunch boxes, and toiletry bags for those affected.

#8| And most of all, every day you can pray, pray, PRAY! All of the affected areas and families really need your prayers and support.

You can also find local churches or businesses that are accepting any kind of donation, whether it be food, water, diapers, or toiletries (and more). Our church, NorthRock Church, is accepting bottled water and toiletry items between 9am and 4pm, Wednesday and Thursday. They are located at 1270 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX 78232. As Oliver and Otis said on there Instagram, “Dear Harvey, Our God is BIGGER! Sincerely, Texas.” God definitely knows what is going on and He is watching over everyone who was affected by Hurricane Harvey. He is in control, and I believe He is using this storm as an opportunity to draw his people to Him and to show His love through those serving the people in need. I hope you find this helpful! Remember, there is light at the end of the tunnel and that GOD IS IN CONTROL!
